Problem
Statement
Perro was at a turning point in its evolution. The overall idea was pivoting into trying to get people to engage with their animal instead of a simple tracking app. To do so, the Perro team requested our help to help them turn the application into a more gamified service, offering rewards and prizes with third party integrations. Perro was in need for a more concrete project, with solid user flows, well identified key functionalities, as well as the development of a brand guideline.
Solution
Through an initial design and prototyping phase, we collaborated with the Perro team to create design guidelines, key screens, as well as a clickable prototype of the product. We were then able to use these designs to design a polished pitch deck that could be used to present to investors. This phase also involved Tech Alchemy creating a landing page for Perro, providing them with an internet presence and enhancing their credibility.
During onboarding, the user populates information about their dog (as well as some basic information about themselves) - this encompasses things like age, breed, health conditions, and more. This allows users to view information on their dog and also allows the app to compare added data against predefined benchmarks within the platform.
In this section of the app, users can track activities and review their historical exercise data, encompassing statistics such as time spent exercising , steps taken, distance traveled, a map view of the route etc.
The third major area was the “Perro&You” section which was designed to be a place for content focusing on mindfulness and wellness videos and articles to better the relationship between the dog owners and dogs. This information is managed by the Perro team via an admin panel so it can be updated as new content is created.
With Woof Rewards, badges earned in-app unlock access to exciting discounts for dog-related items, including pet food, accessories, treats, and more!
