As the curtains draw on our inaugural hackathon, #TechAlchathon2024, it’s time to reflect on the whirlwind of creativity, collaboration, and innovation that defined this remarkable event. Led by our unwavering commitment to embracing emerging technologies like blockchain and Web3, we embarked on a digital odyssey that transcended physical boundaries and redefined the very essence of a tech fiesta.
Spanning two exhilarating days on March 9th and 10th, the hackathon welcomed seven dynamic teams, each fuelled by a shared passion for technological advancement. Decked in our signature hackathon t-shirts and armed with an array of bespoke goodies, our participants embarked on a 36-hour coding marathon, where creativity knew no bounds. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our team and the support of our partners, including
“We were pleasantly surprised by the turnout of the local Pune crowd, particularly from universities. Witnessing the talent and enthusiasm, especially in Web3, among university students was truly inspiring. It’s commendable to see them not just coding but also driven to create and deliver innovative solutions from scratch.”

As the virtual showcase unfolded, we were treated to a tapestry of innovation, as teams unveiled projects ranging from technological breakthroughs to cost-saving solutions and product enhancements. The judging process was a testament to the calibre of talent on display, culminating in the well-deserved recognition of our winners:
Winner — RWAs
Team Nova, the Hackathon winner for Real World Assets (RWA) as their problem statement, impressed the judges with their innovative idea of selling properties for infractions, backed by a well-executed presentation and a visually appealing design created using Figma. Their project utilised the Ethereum standard ERC1155 for transactions, with a frontend developed on Flutter and an admin panel built on REACT JS. Implementation of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain, truly sets them apart from the competition.
Runner up — RWAs
Naved Khan, the hackathon runner-up for the same problem statement, demonstrated proficiency in developing a marketplace for properties using Non Fungible Tokens (NFT). Utilising smart contracts on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Naved showcased strong implementation skills, with the frontend built on React.
Winner — DeFi
On the other hand, Tech Titans, the winner of the DeFi problem statement at the hackathon, proposed an innovative idea of creating fractions for airplanes. Their concept involves using fraction tokens to generate rewards from the profits earned by leasing companies.
Runner up — DeFi
Team SmartDeed, the runner-up for the DeFi problem statement at the hackathon, developed a groundbreaking concept centred around tokenizing properties using a combination of Property Tokens (ERC20) and Non Fungible Tokens (NFT). Their innovative idea drew inspiration from platforms like NoBrokers, aiming to revolutionise the process of selling properties by leveraging blockchain technology.

The choice of problem statements was driven by our community’s fervent curiosity and passion for these cutting-edge topics. Through our newsletter, we celebrated the achievements of our winners and rewarded our winners and runner-ups with $600 and $300 prize pool, respectively.
“It was remarkable to observe the dedication and perseverance of the students throughout the hackathon, spending the night diligently working on their projects.
